The Program includes 1 Incursion per year which can be delivered in any term depending on availability.

Term 1: Pollination (Incursion)

In-person incursion: Students explore pollination, agriculture, and sustainability 
Activities: hands-on activities including planting of bee friendly seeds and flower making. A fun pollination game is also included.

Term 2: Native Bee Biology (World Bee Day – May 20)

Digital presentation: Helps students discover the life cycle and behaviours of native bees
Activity kit: hands-on activities and Native bee ‘roles of bees’ game.

Term 3: Cultural Significance (Aligned with NAIDOC Week)

Digital presentation: Explore First Nations perspectives on native bees.
Activity kit: Highlighting first nations cultural importance. Students will be making didgeridoos and learning about how Aboriginals used bees.

Term 4: Solitary Bees & Habitat Building

Digital presentation: Students learn about solitary bee homes.
Activity kit: plus a hands-on activity being solitary bee nest building.
