Refund policy

At The Australian Native Bee Company (TANBC), we strive to provide high-quality products and services. If you are not fully satisfied with your purchase, our refund policy is designed to ensure a fair and transparent process. 

Eligibility for refunds: 

1 Hive purchases 

Hives are covered by a 6-month guarantee under the following conditions: 

  • The hive has not been split or had honey extracted. 

  • The hive has not been kept in full sunlight during summer. 

  • The hive has not been exposed to extreme temperatures (above 40°C or prolonged periods below 18°C). 

Replacements will be provided for defective hives that meet the above conditions. 

No replacement will be given for issues caused by: 

  • Fighting swarms, ants, spiders, syrphid flies, or small hive beetle infestations. 

  • Obstruction of the hive entrance. 

  • Placing another hive within 5 meters of the purchased hive. 

  • Keeping the hive outside its normal geographic range. 

Proof of purchase is required for all returns.

Shipping costs for returning products are the responsibility of the customer.

2 Training and consultation fees 

  • Refunds for training and consultation fees will only be issued if cancellations are made 14 days prior to the scheduled service. 

  • No refunds will be provided for cancellations made within 14 days of the scheduled training or consultation. 

3 Pre-orders and deposits 

  1. For hive pre-orders or services requiring a deposit, refunds will only be issued if cancellations are made 30 days before the scheduled delivery or service date. 

  1. Even when paying for a product in full it is assumed that a $150 deposit has been made. Deposits are non-refundable for cancellations made within 30 days of the scheduled date. 


Refund Process 

  • To request a refund, please contact our customer service team at [info@australiannativebeeco.com] with your order details. 

  • Once your request is approved, refunds will be processed within 7-10 business days to the original payment method. 

Non-refundable Items

  • Custom or special-order hives and products. 

  • Honey and other consumable products.
