What is included in the Native Bee Student Program

Topic 1: Pollination
In-person incursion: Students explore pollination, agriculture, and sustainability.
Activities: Planting of bee friendly seeds and flower making plus a fun pollination game. -
Topic 2: Native bee biology
Digital presentation: Students discover the life cycle and behaviours of native bees.
Activities: Hands-on activity and native bee ‘roles of bees’ game. -
Topic 3: Cultural Significance
Digital presentation: Explore First Nations perspectives on native bees and their cultural importance.
Activities: Create didgeridoos and learn about how Aboriginals used native bees. -
Topic 4: Solitary bees & habitat building
Digital presentation: Students learn about solitary bee homes.
Activities: Hands-on activity of building a solitary bee nest. -
Additional opportunities
